Online Reputation Google India

Online Reputation Google India

Google has lately launched a tool for online reputation management. Google has introduced a tool to help you manage search results for your name.

The tool called “Me on the Web,” is now included on the Google dashboard in between account information and analytics. It is not meant to be another privacy setting.

Please remember that your online reparation is determined less by what you post, but more by what others post about you — whether a mention in a blog post, a photo tag or a reply to a public status update.

This new dashboard section enables you to keep tabs on these mentions by setting up search alerts for data points included in your Google profile – like your name and email address. It has hitherto been possible to set up these types of alerts using another section of the dashboard, but now it is simplified and takes fewer clicks.

Google’s present tool also includes links to resources about managing online reputation and deleting undesirable content.

Google has become imperative for today’s computer age. It is, by far, the most commonly used and most popular search engine, and it draws billions of clicks every single day. As such, what tops your Google search results tends to define your online reputation.

Please know that Google can be as destructive as helpful and it can mar your online reputation. Google can be a source of frustration for those looking to manage their reputation due to how the search engine operates.

Google zealously guards how it determines which links are most relevant; the engine itself isn’t bothered whether content about you is positive or negative. In fact it can’t differentiate between you and someone else with your name, one of the trickiest problems with managing your reputation on Google.

When you enter your name into Google search engine, you might be surprised – and even appalled – to see the results that are thrown up. People who don’t look closely may mistake you for another person entirely.

Again, Google does not change its search results based on the facts. It’s not uncommon for somebody to be accused of a crime and then later to be found completely innocent of the crime. Often Google image control will entail getting rid of or updating these links.

These types of name confusions can cast a slur on your reputation, cause difficulties in your personal life, and generally mislead the reader. You have to use Google to improve your reputation and have an immaculate online record of your character.
